Manual Handling and Lifting Operations

Duration: 1 day

Maximum number of delegates: 12

 

This course will help you understand:

  • the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act in relation to your workplace
  • your legal responsibilities and duties regarding work place safety
  • your responsibilities as laid out in the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992
  • the importance of risk assessment and how to apply it.

The course is ideal for:

  • managers
  • supervisors
  • safety professionals
  • safety representatives
  • site forepersons
  • anyone whose job involves lifting.

What prior knowledge do you need?

  • No particular knowledge is required for this course, although a basic awareness of health and safety issues will help you make the most of the day.
