What is an Apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are learning programmes designed for all people aged 16 and above.
Apprentices train on-the-job, learning the specific skills that their employers most need in their workforce.
What is a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ)?
NVQs are work-based qualifications that recognise an individual's ability to carry out a particular job role to national standards.
Apprenticeships and NVQ programmes aim to:
- offer an alternative to full-time study for learners keen to progress
and achieve qualifications
- build sound foundations for successful careers
- provide employers with competent, motivated recruits and staff
- meet the needs of a wide range of industries across different sectors.

We offer NVQ programmes from level 1 (ie routine but varied skills) up to level 4
(ie complex, technical or professional work at supervisory level).
